Help us finish strong!
As we approach the end of the school year at Mid Vermont Christian, we are reminded of the truth so beautifully expressed in Lamentations 3:22-23: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Those words became the foundation for a well-known hymn written by Thomas Chisholm in the early 1900s: “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” That hymn, sung by so many churches throughout our land year after year, in many ways, tells the story of our school this past year. As the world turns and changes, there has been no “shadow of turning with Thee.” As we welcome new faces and say goodbye to others, “Thy compassions they fail not.” When the world jeers and does all it can deny us the right to exist, God gives us His “own dear presence to cheer and to guide.” Despite the continual appearance of obstacles, we can honestly say that we have “bright hope for tomorrow” at MVCS.
Here is a small sampling of some of the ways that God has shown his faithfulness in the 2024-2025 school year: we’ve established new connections with like-minded organizations like the Herzog Foundation, we’ve sparked a nation-wide movement by standing for what is right with the help of the Alliance Defending Freedom, our girls basketball team won the NEACS North Title with several team members being invited to play in the All-Star game, our school community came together and pulled off an absolutely beautiful auction in April that was one of the most successful we’ve seen in years, and we’ve hired the wonderful Heather Peets as the all-school principal who is poised to help us continue to excel in student achievement and improve our curriculum and instruction. “Morning by morning new mercies [we] see.”
Our future is indeed bright but only inasmuch as others continue working with us. A solitary ember produces little heat but together we can heat the entire Upper Valley. To that end we would like to invite you to partner with us in prayer. Please pray for God to continue to pour out his blessings upon our school, to protect us, to provide for us, to give us courage, to give us a clear vision and to use us for His glory and praise. And would you also consider partnering with us financially? To make the education at Mid Vermont accessible to as many as possible we award scholarships to almost all our families and fund these scholarships through donations. We still need about $90,000 by the end of June to end our fiscal year with all our bills paid and our reserve fund replenished. Would you consider giving to help us retain the families we have and attract new families to the school? Outlined below are several ways to contribute.
Thank you so very much in advance.
